So there hasnt been much talk about the cricket world cup that kicks off on the 19th of feb, with india beating bangladesh in the opening game. as such i havent developed world cup fever as much as as a mild cold. that having been said, it will be very interesting to see how the teams fare on the notorious sub continent. with the batsmen having such a huge advantage, i cant see many upsets going down. it will be too hard for the minnows to bowl out the giants. i think if south africa can keep their shit together, and not self destruct as they always do, they have a very good chance. they have arguably the strongest bowling lineup in the tournament, and they have strengthened the lower batting order, which will come in handy when the inevitable top order collapse happens. they team doesnt have the pressure of being tournament favourites, which they have struggled to deal with in the past. so, if we play to our potential, and dont suffer too many brain farts, the boys may bust bring it home. holding thumbs
